This was followed by the usual formal welcoming dance and feast.  This village is close to the home of Bishop George Ambo, the first native of PNG to become a bishop of the Anglican church and very much a legend in his own time.  He is now 82, a remarkable age for this part of the world, and lives in retirement.  He remains someone whose every word is well worth listening to.
