The school will also close if there is inadequate rain to provide drinking water.  Rainwater is used for drinking, but visitors are advised to boil even the rainwater before drinking it.  The river is used for washing, and its water is also pumped up as non-drinking water when the generator is running.  The generator runs from 9 to 12 in the morning, and from 6 to 9.30 at night.
