Visual Basic for beginners
is used in the
VSG Enrichment
programming course.

  • Complete beginners can learn to program in a Windows environment.

  • Write your first application before the end of the second chapter.
  • Every step is clearly explained in language aimed at normal human beings, not computer experts.
  • Suitable for home or school use.
  • Lots of examples and exercises.

Any form of programming in a Windows environment is a complex process involving many skills. Unfortunately, most books and manuals are far too hard for the beginner to understand.

Visual Basic for Beginners does not assume any prior knowledge. It explains in clear and simple steps how to write your own applications. It introduces the concepts and techniques carefully and in a sensible order, with plenty of examples and exercises.

You will have your first Windows application written before you reach the end of Chapter Two.

Solutions to all exercises and worked examples are available on a floppy disk for $5, and may be freely copied. Alternatively, you can download the solutions for VB3 and VB4 free of charge.

This 260-page book is designed for home or school use, and is suitable for secondary students and adults.
